![]() ![]() Images can be automatically renamed by pulling Exif information from files, and you can also opt to add information such as the date to your filenames. XnConvert can also be used to convert images between formats – just select the format you would like to use on the Output tab of the program. You can apply as many or as few options as you need, so if you’re looking to simply resize a folder full of images, this can be done as easily as applying special effects. This includes basic settings such as resizing and cropping, but you also have the option of applying special filters such as sepia or mosaic effects.Įach effect and filter can be precisely configured to suit your needs and a preview window help you to ensure that everything looks as it should. Using the simple wizard-style interface you can then select from a large number of tools that can be applied to your images. ![]() Images can be added to the program using drag and drop or by opting to add files individually or as complete folders from within the app interface. With support for more than 400 image formats, and versions available for Windows, Mac and Linux, this is one of the most flexible and powerful tools available for everyday image processing. Now click on the box next to "Output folder"and navigate to the folder wher eyou'd like to save the new images.XnConvert is a free, cross-platform, batch image converter that makes light work of converting and editing large numbers of image files in one fell swoop.(You can look at the advanced Parameters if you want, but its not necessary for this). Additionally, I like to keep the quality as nice as possible, so drag the slider up from it's default 85%, up to 100%. In this next window you can choose the filetype you want to convert to (bmp, gif, ico, jpeg, png, tga, and tiff). In this tutorial we're just talking about converting to JPG so we'll do that. At the top click "+Add" and you can choose any number of operations. In the new window click on "Add images" and in the drop down menu, click "Add all opened images." (You will notice that there is an option to "Add Folders" - this works, but not for WEBP, at least it wouldnt for me.) If you're going to be doing that fairly often I might suggest diving into ImageMagick and writing a BASH script for it - I didn't feel like dealing with that. This won't do thousands of pictures at once, unless you computer can open all those images. You can do it, you just can't tell it to add the images from a folder, they need to be open in the program. I downloaded the BIMP addon which I thought would batch process the files from WEBP to JPG, but it wouldn't - at least not in the way one expects it to. There are seemingly no uncomplicated ways to convert large amounts of WEBP files to JPG or other formats.
